By installing or using PilotSEO ("the App"), you ("Merchant" or "you") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). PilotSEO is operated by PilotSEO ("we," "us," or "our"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not install or use the App.
These Terms apply to all users of the App, including merchants who access the App through the Shopify App Store.
PilotSEO is an AI-powered SEO optimization application for Shopify merchants. The App analyzes your product catalog and generates optimized meta titles, meta descriptions, and image alt text using artificial intelligence. You may review and approve changes before they are published, or enable autonomous mode to allow the App to apply changes automatically.
PilotSEO is built on and for the Shopify platform. Your use of the App is also subject to Shopify's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Shopify Inc.
Access to PilotSEO is granted through your Shopify store credentials. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Shopify account. You may not share access to the App with unauthorized third parties. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your store's installation of the App.
PilotSEO operates on a credit-based billing system processed through Shopify's native billing API. Credits are consumed each time the AI agent analyzes and generates SEO content for a product. Billing is handled entirely through your Shopify account — we do not store payment information.
Subscription charges are billed on a recurring basis as described in the App's pricing page. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Shopify admin. Refunds are subject to Shopify's standard billing policies.
Unused credits do not roll over between billing periods unless explicitly stated in your plan description.
You agree not to use PilotSEO to:
PilotSEO uses artificial intelligence to generate SEO content suggestions. While we strive for accuracy and quality, AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors, inaccuracies, or content that requires human review. You are solely responsible for reviewing and approving any AI-generated content before it is published to your store.
We do not guarantee that AI-generated SEO content will improve your search rankings or drive additional traffic to your store. SEO results depend on many factors outside our control, including search engine algorithms and market competition.
Your use of PilotSEO is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. We collect and process data as described in the Privacy Policy, including your store information and product catalog data necessary to provide the service.
The App, including its design, code, and underlying AI models, is owned by PilotSEO and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights in the App.
You retain ownership of your store data and product information. By using the App, you grant us a limited license to access and process your store data solely for the purpose of providing the PilotSEO service.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE THREE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PilotSEO and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
You may terminate your use of the App at any time by uninstalling it from your Shopify store. We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at our discretion if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we determine is harmful to us, other users, or third parties.
Upon termination, we will delete your store's access tokens and cease processing your store data within 30 days, subject to our data retention obligations under applicable law.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice within the App or by email. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
